2013 Food Allergy Awareness
Michiana Food Allergy Anaphylaxis Support asked several local schools to participate in FAAW this year. Here are a few of the schools that helped spread awareness.
LaVille Elementary School IN.
LaVille Elementary School in Union Township did several different activities through out the week of May 12-18 2013 to help students with awareness in food allergies and how to help if someone was to have a reaction . Students were asked trivia questions on food allergies and winners from each class got their name entered in to a contest to win 4 tickets to the Peanut Free Suite for the South Bend Silver Hawks game on May 19, 2013. La Ville also did a write in the school news bulletin as well as coloring contests, reading books on food allergies and anaphylaxis and displayed 3 cases on Food Allergies and reactions.

DeDasi Elementary School NJ.
Renee Coluzzi's children attend De Dasi Elementary School in NJ. Renee went to her children's school and read books and taught their class about food allergies and anaphylaxis. Items were passed out also to the students.

Queen Of Peace Catholic School IN.
Queen of Peace Catholic school in Granger Indiana help spread awareness by reading books to the children and keeping the allergens out of the classroom. Colleen Dabler has worked closely with her school district to help spread awareness as well. Colleen is a wonderful advocate for her kids.
